Considering organising an event?
The Town Council owns quite a lot of land and facilities in Diss including the Park, Market Place, Mere’s Mouth, Sports Ground and the Diss Youth & Community Centre (DYCC) and hire fees are very reasonable.
To book one of our faciities, please read the documentation below to find out what we will need from you to make your plans a reality! Please check all your forms are complete before sending them in, and remember, you can always contact us if you have any questions!
In order to make sure your event is safe, well-organised and successful, we need a few documents from you:
Event Booking Form - This lets us know what you'd like to do, where, and when.
Risk Assessment - Imagine your event, then ask yourself 'what could go wrong?'. Of course, it's unlikely that any of it will go wrong, but risk assessments let us plan for issues that could arise, making sure your event is safe.
Public Liability Insurance - this can be purchased online and needs to cover up to £2,000,000. It sounds like a lot, but it is the standard for event planning.
